Region 31
The AYSO Parent is a very important part of the AYSO experience. There are many ways to become involved. Here are some tools, tips and great resources to help create and build a lifetime of memories and magic.
You can add pictures, videos, a journal/blog, calendar, a message board, links/bookmarks to other sites, team roster, contact list, task list, polls, map, weather, feeds, files/documents, snack schedule, track player availability, and more.
Once teams are formed in eAYSO, a private Shutterfly AYSO team site will automatically be created for each team, using data from eAYSO to pre–populate the roster and parent member list. The data used to create the site is for convenience only and is limited to the child’s name and parents’ email addresses that were provided during registration. AYSO coaches will be the administrative owner to their respective team’s site, and will receive the initial notification that the site is available for review. Coaches will be responsible for reviewing the initial list of players and parents before granting them access to the site. Coaches will also be able to assign administrative ownership to Team Parents or other registered volunteers who wish to help out.
AYSO Teams sites are will be distributed to each team before the season begins. The sites will include the team roster and parent contact information and are designed to fit the needs of AYSO teams. AYSO Team Share Sites are secure and only accessible by members of the site.
Pictures and videos posted to AYSO team sites are only viewable by members of that site, and are not accessible or open to the general public. AYSO team sites on Shutterfly will always be defaulted to a private, members–only setting. Furthermore, AYSO team sites are not indexed into internet search engines such as Google or Yahoo.
AYSO team sites continue to live on Shutterfly, free of charge, as an archive of the season’s memories. Members will continue to be able to log in to the site, to view or save pictures and videos of the season, order prints or create photo books or other keepsakes. The sites remain private and Shutterfly has a strict policy against deleting its members’ photos, so the team’s memories will be kept safe on its team site into the future.
Each Fall Region 31 helps to off-set the rising costs of running the Program through team sponsorships. Teams are asked to solicit and secure at least one (though more than one is fantastic) sponsorship of $175. These sponsorships are a fully tax deductible donation to AYSO.
Sponsorship donations go directly to the Region and are not disbursed directly to each team. These funds, coupled with the $95 per player registration, cover the operational costs of Region 31 including national AYSO registrations; fields & permits; uniforms; training courses; medals & pins; picture packages and yearbooks.
In recognition for their donation, the sponsor will receive a wooden Thank You plaque with team picture and their business name engraved. Sponsors also are recognized in the Region’s full-color yearbook and can be featured on the team’s banner.
As a thank you to your team, each $175 sponsorship the team solicits will earn two (2) free team pizza parties at the Round Table Pizza located at 1220 S. Diamond Bar Blvd (Grand Ave/Diamond Bar Blvd). Pizza parties include two large 1-topping pizzas and fountain drinks for all players. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting Round Table at 909-861-9432. Pizza party certificates are valid through the end of the year.
Be sure to include your coaches’ full name and your Team ID number and the full name of the business or sponsoring entity clearly printed on the Sponsorship form. Sponsorships are accepted and pizza parties can be earned all throughout the season, however, only those sponsors received by October 1st can be recognized in the yearbook due to publishing deadlines.
Sponsorships can be mailed directly to Regional Treasurer Elizabeth Snow or turned in to your divisional commissioner. Pizza certificates as well as the Thank You plaques will be sent back to your team via your divisional commissioner.
